Drake break rap record

imageAfter hearing that If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late had sold almost 500,000 copies, the Toronto rapper now has some even more impressive news to enjoy. By tying a record that he himself had previously set, DrJake has 14 tracks on the latest Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and he also finds himself positioned at number 1 in the Artist 100, having had to display an 850% improvement to make this a reality. Remarkably, Drake is the first rapper to ever lead the Artist 100 and only the third R&B/Hip-Hop act to achieve the feat, after Trey Songz and Chris Brown. The surprise release of his album is the cause for his sudden domination of the rap world. It is for reasons such as these that Drake lets his music do the talking, remaining relatively quiet throughout a feud with the noisy Tyga, who openly admits his contempt for Drake on a regular basis and via various formats. According to Nielsen Music, “Enegy,” reached 63,000 digital downloads in the week ending the 15th of February, which is a huge figure when compared to the next best-selling song from the new releases at 30,000, which was “Preach,” featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR. Drake’s recent work is surely exceeding even the rapper’s prior expectations. DRAKE’S 14 TRACKS ON HOT R&B/HIP-HOP SONGS No. 4 – “Only,” Nicki Minaj, featuring Drake, Lil Wayne & Chris Brown No. 6 – “Truffle Butter,” Nicki Minaj, featuring Drake & Lil Wayne No. 14 – “Tuesday,” ILoveMakonnen, featuring Drake No. 17 – “Energy” (Debut) No. 18 – “Blessings,” Big Sean, featuring Drake No. 25 – “Preach,” featuring PartyNextDoor (Debut) No. 26 – “Legend” (Debut) No. 27 – “10 Bands” (Debut) No. 30 – “Used To,” featuring Lil Wayne (Debut) No. 34 – “No Tellin'” (Debut) No. 38 – “Jungle” (Debut) No. 44 – “6PM In New York” (Debut) No. 45 – “Now & Forever” (Debut) No. 46 – “6 Man” (Debut)
